Outro is a digital clinic for coming off antidepressants. Most people who want to stop have no real clinical support for how to do it. Outro builds a personalized taper around hyperbolic dosing, the method its team helped pioneer and codify in the Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines, and pairs it with prescribers and coaching across the full year-plus it can take to do this safely.
Roughly 1 in 10 US adults take an antidepressant, and many stay on far longer than they meant to. 85% of Outro's patients had already tried to stop at least once before finding real support. Withdrawal affects an estimated 15 to 20% of people who taper, and the system is built to start prescriptions, not end them.
Deprescribing is a structural gap. The system has every incentive to begin a prescription and almost none to help someone stop. Patients are already trying to quit on their own, usually without a plan and often badly. Outro backs that decision with genuine clinical depth and a proprietary taper protocol as the durable layer beneath it, the kind of moat an AI wrapper can't fake. One founder lived the withdrawal himself. That's the wedge we look for.
